NoiseTech has released its first line of USB-driven signal-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch matrices. Each switch matrix contains two independent SPDT switches that operate at a wide range of temperatures from 0.01GHz to 6GHz. While these switches can be used for numerous applications, they are great at simplifying noise-parameter measurement-system calibration.

When used for noise parameter measurements, the switches permit switching in the network analyzer and the noise meter. This operation would otherwise be performed manually. Avoiding manual efforts permits automated measurements of the same circuits at different temperatures or biasing settings.

The application for the switches include: noise parameter measurements at room temperatures and cryogenic temperatures, quantum computing, and other applications where USB controlled switches are required.
